Digital Agenda Data
The present visualisation tool allows you to explore some open datasets through the interactive creation of charts and tables. The charts you create can be exported as images, printed or shared through hyperlinks. You can download the data behind a chart or the entire dataset, including the metadata providing labels, definitions, methodological notes, references and sources. Use the "download" and "export" buttons present on each chart, or refer to the page "Entire dataset metadata and download services".
Each dataset is stored in a semantic data repository to facilitate their reuse and the linking to other data published on the web. For browsing or querying of the semantic repository please follow the link. You will find functionalities for human and machine reading of data and metadata. The documentation page presents some reports and notes about the technical characteristics of the project developing the present visualisation tool and semantic repository.
Please select one of the available datasets:
1. Digital Economy and Society Index
The Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI) is a composite index that summarises some 30 relevant indicators on Europe’s digital performance and tracks the evolution of EU Member States, across five main dimensions: Connectivity, Human Capital, Use of Internet, Integration of Digital Technology, Digital Public Services. Read reports and methodological notes.
2. Digital Agenda key indicators
European Commission services selected more than 100 indicators, divided into thematic groups, which illustrate some key dimensions of the European information society (Telecom sector, Broadband, Mobile, Internet usage, Internet services, eGovernment, eCommerce, eBusiness, ICT Skills, Research and Development). These indicators allow a comparison of progress across European countries as well as over time. Multiple interactive charts allow you to assess countries' profiles.
3. Lead Indicators for DG CONNECT policy priorities
This is a dataset to disseminate the most significant insights and times series for the Lead indicators used to monitor outcomes and impacts of DG CONNECT activities, as described on the policy priorities fiches available on our website.
The “lead indicator” that accompanies each of the priority fiches was selected to illustrate one important aspect of the results we are committed to achieve. One single indicator cannot cover all the multiple facets of European policies; it is natural that some dimensions are not sufficiently represented. When selecting the lead indicators, we privileged variables from official statistics, collected by Commission services or produced by reliable sources.
